In an unprecedented album pre-release, Natti Vogel has skipped the big streaming platforms, opting instead to host an experimental early listen, on his own website and on his own terms.

On December 21, 2025, Natti Vogel announced that his new album (title redacted!) would be pre-released for early listening for only 3 weeks.

His website declares, “THE NEW NATTI VOGEL ALBUM WON’T STREAM,” with information about the exclusive release and how to get one’s hands (ears, heart) on his latest sticky-sweet and adventurous masterpiece. One can “Contribute any amount to gain access to a re-playable, exclusive early-listen of the new Natti Vogel album that will only be available for a very limited time (12/21/25-1/11/26). You will receive a downloadable PDF of lyrics, album notes and bonus content, which will be yours to keep. Suggested contribution is $20 but it’s neither a floor nor a ceiling.”

The vast majority of subscribers contributed much more than the suggested amount to show their support. The response has been wildly positive, with listeners (of all ages, demographics and geographies) hailing not only the music itself, but his new method of release as both innovative and courageous. Especially in a time where artists’ options for musical releases seems to follow a laid-out path (that regularly exploits both society at large and the artists themselves), Natti couldn’t in good conscience take the beaten path. He chose to avoid major streaming platforms for a number of reasons, and hopes to help catalyse new models for other independent artists.

Natti explored platforms for how to release this new album, and ultimately chose Samply.app as the vehicle to deliver his new work to listeners, which allows for lossless sound, protects the music from being downloaded and offers timestamp-specific commenting to provide a global listening room experience.

If you’re interested in covering the phenomenon of early, non-streaming listening, and/or reviewing this tight (36 minutes and 11 seconds total) but expansive album, please email nattivogel@gmail.com to secure access to the music and album art beyond 1/11 and/or any additional exclusive information and materials.

The new album was written, composed, and sung solely by Natti Vogel and all backing vocals were performed and arranged by Natti (with a little surprise cameo here and there). The album was touched by several producers and mixers, but ultimately saved, united, upgraded and completed by Cale Hawkins. All tracks mastered by Kisos. The instrumentalists besides Natti on piano and keyboard are Marc Nelson, Sarah Haines, Sam Quiggins, Blair Hamrick, Kyra Sims, Yoshi Weinberg, Daniel Bayot, Alex Lubeck, Emily Madge, Jon Clifton and Cale Hawkins.
